Celebrations the wedding and event co-ordinating company had the wonderful opportunity to work with The Knot magazine. The managing director of Celebrations, Jo Anne Brown and her team pulled off a spectacular wedding. The wedding was to take place at the Cayman Islands at the Southern Cross Club resort. The wedding was a fusion of two entirely different cultures. The groom was of Indian heritage and the bride was an Irish American roman catholic. The editor in chief of The Knot Carley Roney gave a brief to the Celebrations team about the expectation of the bride and groom. The wedding was being filmed by Style Network. The event was being filmed as my destination wedding with The Knot. Since the bride and groom were from two different cultures, the wedding was planned in two different ways.
The venue for the Hindu style wedding was designed in bright red, white and gold colours. The mandap was made up of bamboo structure and the main frame was draped in gold with beaded red voile. White satin was draped along with it to give accent. Flowers were an integral part of the wedding decoration. The top frame of the mandap was draped in garlands made from a collection of the most exquisite flowers. Other Hindu celebrations included the mehndi ceremony. The venue for this ceremony was decorated most exquisitely inside the resort. The Caribbean waters provided the perfect backdrop for the entire wedding setting.
